As I walk my path in solitude my footsteps
slow
Each step brings me a memory of not so
long ago
Birds were on the wing singing their song
To live those memories once again I long
With time the memories never seem to fade
but grow
Green grass, trees full and rich, reaching
to the sky
As I linger in thoughts of you time seems
to slow
Then comes to a standstill because
forgetting I ever defy
Your face is a constant picture , soothing
and content
With laughter springing to mind as
pleasure's refrain
To live those days once again is a happy
lament
My romance of memories lets me live once
again
